Commander Jon Olson (retired) is the Host of National Security This Week and Co-Host of Public Policy This Week. He is the co-author of three books and has a masters degree from the U.S. Naval War College and the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Steve Sviggum is the former Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives (1999-2007) and served in the Minnesota House 1979 to 2007. In his time in the Minnesota he represented parts of of Dakota, Dodge, Goodhue, Olmsted, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca and Winona counties.
